Measure 1: Impact on P-12 Learning and Development

In addition to the data provided below, plans for additional data related to 4.1 are in process with pilot data expected following the 2022-23 academic year.

Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) administers the Nebraska First Year Teacher Survey and Third Year Survey both to the principals and to the first year teachers (Spring 2020).  Evaluation indicators are based on Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) and Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) Model Core Teaching Standards, 2011.

First year teachers employed in the 2019-2020 school year are May 2019 graduate completers at the initial undergraduate level and 2018-2019 cohort completers in the Initial Certification at the Advanced Level.

Doane University response rates:  First year teacher survey by principals:  60% and First year teacher survey by teachers: 75%
Statewide response rates: First year teacher survey by principals: 76% and First year teacher survey by teachers:  71%.

First Year Teacher survey asks the question:  Based on performance of first year teacher, how would you rate his/her impact on student learning. (Data from NDE assessment of P-12 professionals)
