Jodi Nelson earned her nursing diploma from Bryan School of Nursing in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 1999. Her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing were achieved from Graceland University, Lamoni, Iowa, in 2008. Jodi is currently taking classes towards earning a doctorate of education degree from Doane University. Her patient care experience includes the areas of general medical-surgical and neuro-trauma critical care. Jodi’s experience also includes teaching at Bryan School of Nursing for 9 years. During that time she was Bryan College of Health Science’s co-coordinator of the Center of Excellence in Clinical Simulation, a joint simulation center with Southeast Community College. Currently she teaches nursing students at Southeast Community College in addition to adjunct teaching at Doane. Jodi lives in Lincoln with her husband and 2 sons. Her work ethic continues to be driven by the values she learned on the farm, growing up near Adams, Nebraska.
