Event Details

Dr. Rod Diercks, Doane University Professor of Education, and Christine Gustafson, Millard South High School Science Teacher, will present on Problem and Phenomenon Based Learning (PBL) as it pertains to STEM teaching. Special attention will be given to connecting PBL with Nebraska's current standards for Science Education.

Doane's Project SERVE program is funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation. The purpose of the program is to prepare STEM students to become highly qualified science or math teachers in high-need rural and urban schools. Project SERVE is seeking undergraduate and post-graduate STEM majors who are passionate about STEM and have an interest in becoming a teacher.
